Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7 is in full swing, and players have been unlocking cosmetic goodies through the new Battle Star system. Season 7 also features an Invasion theme, with players getting abducted, new IO tech weapons, upgrade stations, and refreshing weekly challenges joining the season's additions.

Rick Sanchez, the alcoholic adventurer from the popular adult cartoon Rick and Morty, is available as one of the highest-tiered rewards in the new Battle Pass. Superman is also available to unlock for Battle Pass owners, but with new changes to the system, it is not clear how and when players can unlock DC’s iconic comic book hero.

When Does the Superman Skin Come Out in Fortnite?

Fortnite Superman Skin

The Superman cosmetics section, including the standard Superman Skin, will be unlocked on Tuesday, August 10. The release date seems to have been brought forward by 2 days, as the in-game counter used to show the Superman section being unlockable on Thursday, August 12.

No matter how many Battle Stars or levels players currently have, they cannot unlock early access to the Superman skin. Some speculated that it would cost Battle Stars to unlock Clark's various cosmetics, but recent leaks have shown that players will be given specific quests to unlock each item, exactly like how players got the Neymar Jr. Skin and Rewards.

A Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass subscription is needed to get the Superman Skin in Fortnite. As per usual, a Battle Pass monthly subscription will cost players 900 V-Bucks. 1000 V-Bucks are available to purchase for $7.99/£6.49 from the V-Bucks tab on the main menu.

As mentioned, when the Superman cosmetics become available on August 10, players will also need to complete specific quests to unlock each item. As well as the mild-mannered reporter and regular red-and-blue Superman designs, the Shadow Style Superman suit will be obtainable. The black suit isn't mentioned in the leaks, but there are some empty reward spaces that will most likely change to the Shadow Style when the update goes live.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League has popularised this stylish black suit. Players will have until the end of Fortnite Season 7 to unlock it and other Superman cosmetics before the new Season 8 Battle Pass replaces this Invasion-themed one.

Other cosmetics available on August 10 include Superman's Cape Back Bling and Glider, the Daily Planet Back Bling, the Solitude Striker pickaxe, emotes (hopefully they don't get disabled like the Bear Hug Emote), loading screens, and sprays. These are also unlocked by completing specific quests while playing a match.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
