Fortnite being a live-service game gets updated every single week with new quests and challenges for players to complete for some bonus XP. For Season 6 Week 9, there's a challenge that requires folks to spend 7 seconds within 7 meters of fleeing chicken.

While this Fortnite challenge may seem pretty simple for most players, this guide will help out those who don't quite understand how to get it done.

How to Spend 7 Seconds Within 7 Meters of a Fleeing Chicken in Fortnite

There are several different locations that players can find chickens at around the Fortnite map, but to make things easier for readers, this guide will just cover one location that should be the best way to find the squawking birds.

While Fortnite players are waiting to drop off the Battle Bus, they should first pin the area on the map that they plan on heading to. The place to go to find some chickens is just a little outside of Pleasant Park. It's colored brown/orange, and is east/northeast of the point of interest. Pleasant Park is on the northern side of the new Fortnite map, just north of Boney Burbs and south of Stealthy Stronghold.

Once Fortnite players spot a chicken walking around the area circled on the map above, the chicken should get scared and begin to run away from the player. In order to complete the quest, players need to simply chase the chicken for 7 seconds while staying very close to it. If players are farther than 7 meters away, the quest will not be completed. Once the 7 seconds have passed, the quest should pop up on the top-left corner and gamers will earn a whopping 24K experience points.

And that's all that players have to do. It's not one of the most difficult quests of the season, but hopefully, this guide still came in handy for those having trouble figuring it out. If players are on the hint for even more experience points, they should try to complete all of the 71 secret Fortnite quests.

The next season's release date and theme for Fortnite have yet to be confirmed by Epic Games, but it seems likely that the update will come sometime in early June. This means that players only have a few weeks left to experience the 'Primal' theme that this current season has to offer.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
