With season 4 in full swing, it has already been a very busy few weeks for Fortnite. The insanely popular shooter brought Marvel's Mad Titan, Thanos, into the game through a surprising limited time mode called Infinity Gauntlet, along with the chaotic 50v50 mode as well. A new week also typically means a new patch, but unfortunately, an unforeseen issue is going to cause Version 4.2 to miss its scheduled launch this week.

Even with Thanos finally leaving Fortnite and a delay with the long-awaited update, Battle Royale has unlocked its third week of challenges for players to tackle. Naturally, one of the challenges is a treasure hunt, tasking players with reading a treasure map and locating a hidden battle star. Thankfully, Reddit has done the heavy lifting with user GamingSoldiers putting together a pretty great map showing the exact treasure spot.

Fortnite season 4 week 3 treasure map

While not necessary to complete the challenge, curious players can find the week 3 treasure map pinned to a wall in Salty Springs. The map shows what appears to be a bunch of swirls with a red X towards the left side. Looking at the Battle Royale map, a similar looking area can be located on the right side in quadrant J7 above Moisty Mire. Known as the racetrack, players should search to the left of the big tree on the map on the patch of grass near the small stack of tires.

In addition to the rising popularity of dancing Thanos, Fortnite has been in the media quite a bit over the past week, thanks in large part to Boston Red Sox starting pitcher, David Price. Talk has moved away from his injured hand/wrist and instead focused on Fortnite which Price revealed that he enjoys playing. While Price has been playing games since the 90s and doesn't believe they're the cause of his current injury issues, Fortnite has taken much of the blame from the media, forcing the pitcher to reduce how much and where he plays it in order to reduce some of the distraction that it has caused recently.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
