Another day means something new to do in Epic Game's Fortnite. More specifically, the Winterfest event continues to march on and brings with it a string of cosmetic rewards that players can obtain including gliders, music tracks, and other loot.
During this limited-time event, visiting the Winterfest cabin daily will award players with a free gift to open and a daily challenge to complete. Today's challenge is the twelfth one in a series that lasts up to two weeks, the 14 Days of Christmas. The task at hand involves destroying three snowflake decorations that are spread across the map, which will reward another cosmetic item once completed.
Snowflake Decoration Locations
After inspecting the cabin stocking for the challenge, the snowflake decorations can be found scattered throughout different zones on the Chapter 2 map. Note that multiple snowflakes can be found at one area, meaning if players are lucky they can finish the challenge by going to one spot. But many, if not all, players will be aiming to complete today's task, so competition is guaranteed to be fierce wherever decorations are present. While snowflake decorations can be found in varying amounts at every different zone, the best place to find them normally is a yellow house at Pleasant Park.
The decorations will be present on the windows viewed from the front and back of the yellow house. Players should drop and glide into Pleasant Park or as close as possible before making a beeline toward the house. After landing, grab a weapon while moving toward the location or pick one up from inside the building on arrival. Unlike the Frozen Loot from a previous challenge, the snowflake decorations break rather easily from any weapon. However, if the Pleasant Park house is already swamped with players trying to complete the task or stop others from doing so, houses at Frenzy Farm, Holly Hedges, Lazy Lake, or Salty Springs also contain enough decorations to get the job done. Once three snowflake decorations are destroyed, finish the match to claim today's reward.
Today's Christmas Challenge Reward
Completing today's challenge will reward players with the Snow Crystal Epic Back Bling item. Now even after the holiday season ends soon, players can continue spreading Christmas cheer and snowflakes throughout the rest of 2020.
In the end, the day twelve Christmas challenge in Fortnite isn't rather difficult compared to some of the previous Winterfest tasks this year. And for that reason, players should finish it now rather than wait until the event ends on January 7th, 2020.
