Fortnite season 9 has finally arrived, bringing with it a futuristic redesign of the entire Battle Island. The Volcano from season 8 has become the Pressure Plant, Retail Row has become Mega Mall, and Fortnite's Tilted Towers has become Neo Tilted. And with all of the map changes, there is also a new set of challenges to complete as part of the new Fortnite season 9 battle pass.

One of these challenges is to find the 7 Sky Platforms across the Battle Island. Season 9 saw the addition of these new platforms, practically as replacement of the Pirate Camps from season 8, but these are stages that can only be found in the air. They are connected by the new slipstream tubes, meaning that there are two easy ways Fortnite players can access these platforms: either from the drop or via these new tubes.

These slipstream tubes are scattered around the futuristic battle island, so Fortnite players should have no trouble finding them. They will then connect to the sky platforms, which can be found in the following locations:

  • Southeast of Pressure Plant
  • Southwest of Lazy Lagoon
  • South of Salty Springs
  • East of Neo Tilted
  • West of Shifty Shafts
  • Southwest of Pleasant Park
  • North of Paradise Palms

Beyond dropping on a drastically changed Fortnite map, players will also find a new switch-up with the guns. The Unvaulting event brought back the Fortnite drum gun, but it also added a new combat shotgun. In exchange for these new weapons, developer Epic Games also vaulted several guns and items such as Clingers, Buried Treasure, Pump Shotguns, Poison Dart Traps, Scoped Revolvers, Suppressed and Thermal ARs, and Balloons.

Tons of changes have hit the Battle Island as a result of the Fortnite season change, so players should expect more to be revealed over the next few days as well as the remainder of the season. For now, finding these Sky Platforms and collecting the Fortnite season 9 week 1 battle star is likely a priority as players work toward the tier 100 skin, Vendetta.

Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
