Fortnite Season 8 just went live a few days ago, but some fans are already looking forward to the skin they can unlock by hitting tier 100 in their battle pass. The skin in question is called Luxe, and just like with past tier 100 skins, players can unlock new looks for Luxe by completing various challenges in the game.

Whereas most tier 100 skins tasks players with earning XP to unlock the new looks, Luxe's challenges focus on outlasting other players in battle royale matches. For example, she will unlock a white shirt after outlasting 1,000 opponents, a black shirt after outlasting 7,500 opponents, and a black shirt with gold pants and a gold necklace after outlasting 25,000 opponents. Luxe's skins are more just color palette swaps than they are evolutions of the character like we've seen in the past with the werewolf skin, but her final black and gold look will still be coveted by players.

While on the way to unlock the Luxe skin, Fortnite players will unlock a variety of other skins, in addition to other cosmetics like pets, wraps, emotes, and more. Of course, doing so will be no easy task, and will likely require Fortnite players to complete the vast majority of the weekly battle pass challenges. Luckily, the Season 8 update for the game has actually made completing the battle pass a touch easier than it was in the past.

The Season 8 update for Fortnite has added some quality of life improvements that should make the game easier overall. This includes a ping system like Apex Legends, as well as the Party Assist ability. Essentially, this lets Fortnite players select one challenge from their pool of challenges that their teammates can actually help them complete. This feature should go a long way in helping Fortnite fans complete Season 8's more frustrating challenges.

So far, the Season 8 challenges haven't been overly difficult. The Season 8 Week 1 challenges are all more or less straightforward, though players may struggle finding all of the pirate camps or visiting all of the giant faces that can now be found on the battle royale map. However, by following our Season 8 Week 1 challenge guideFortnite players should complete them all eventually, and be one step closer to unlocking Luxe.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
