Fortnite season 7 week 6 challenges have gone live, meaning that season 7 of Epic Games' wildly popular battle royale title is edging ever closer to its end. And in true Fortnite fashion, players see a wide spread of rather simple challenges with a couple of more difficult ones sprinkled in for good measure.

Regardless, players who follow this guide should be able to count this week in the bag. After that, they will hopefully be one more step toward earning that coveted Ice King skin.

Free Challenges

Search an Ammo Box in Different Named Locations (0/7)

The first free Fortnite challenge for the week is relatively simple, but it will likely take a few games to earn. Gamers will simply need to visit 7 different named locations, and while looting the area, find an ammo box to search. This challenge can also simply be done in conjunction with the Visit X and X Battle Pass challenge, as players may not be so keen to keep visiting different locations otherwise.

Search Chilly Gnomes (0/7)

In a throwback to a challenge that required players to find gnomes, Fortnite players now have to find chilly gnomes. And as their name implies, these can be found in the winter biome covering the southwestern portion of the map. Once found, players will simply need to interact with them to search them, while a full map of their locations can be found here.

Eliminate Opponents in Lucky Landing or Tilted Tower (0/3)

This week's elimination challenges requires 3 kills in the above named locations, which may be complicated for some. After all, Tilted Towers is an area of high congestion, and getting that many kills in one game can be somewhat challenging for less experienced players.

Many may divert to Lucky Landing, but it presents players with the same problem, as those wanting to avoid Tilted may do the same. A solid method for Fortnite players to complete this challenge is to play a game mode with respawns active such as Disco Domination. Doing so will allow players the time to earn the kills, as well as lower the player congestion.

Battle Pass Challenges

Stage 1: Visit Polar Peak and Tilted Towers in a single Match

For this challenge, players may want to enlist the help of the now-nerfed X-4 Storming Plane, as flying over these Fortnite locations will count as visiting them. However, simply flying over these places means that this challenge cannot be completed alongside the ammo box challenge, but the method is solely up to the player.

After visiting Polar Peak and Tilted Towers, the second stage requires players to visit Lucky Landing and Retail Row. Notably, Tilted Towers and Lucky Landing are the areas of focus for this week's elimination challenge, so these two can also work in conjunction with one another. The final two locations to be visited by players are Lazy Links and Shifty Shafts.

Slide an Ice Puck over 150m in a Single Throw

Previously done with the golf ball, this challenge requires players to use an in-game toy unlocked at tier 28 and hit it a certain distance. Once players have figured out how to unlock the Ice Puck, there are some notable methods about procuring this challenge.

Players can try sliding it across ice, as expected, or even down/off a mountain to gain the necessary distance. There's also a trick with the Quadcrusher where the back rider needs to hit the Ice Puck off when the driver boosts to finish this challenge.

Stage 1: Deal Damage with SMGs to Opponents (0/200)

Straightforwardly, players will need to deal 200 damage with certain weapon categories. This is enough damage to kill 2 unshielded players, or one player that is fully shielded. First, they will need to do this with the SMG for stage 1, then assault rifles for stage 2, and finally grenades, clingers, or stink bombs for stage 3. The final step may be the most challenging for some, but since this damage doesn't need to be done at once, players can work on this final step over time.

Deal Damage with Different Weapons in a Single Match (0/5)

This is likely to be the hardest challenge for season 7 week 6, but the trick is to play a match type that allows respawns. Disco Domination or the like will turn this rather difficult challenge into a somewhat simple one, though players will want to plan a head.

The best method would be to hit an area with a lot of loot spawns, gather 5 different weapon types (which are listed below), and be sure to use each one during the match. Once complete, the unneeded weapons can be discarded, but they include the following.

  • Shotguns
  • Assault Rifles
  • Snipers
  • Pistols
  • SMGs
  • Minigun
  • Explosive
  • Grenade
  • Traps
  • Plane

Once players finish all of these challenges, they will be able to hunt down a hidden banner. For those players looking for their reward for completing this week's challenges, check out our season 7 week 6 hidden banner guide here.
