Dataminers have been hard at work since the launch of Fortnite's v7.20 update earlier this week, and they have found a number of yet to be released items hidden in the game files. Among these items is what appears to be a new melee weapon bound for battle royale as well as a myriad of unreleased skins and cosmetics that players can expect to arrive down the line.

Looking at the leak, as compiled by FNBR, it quickly becomes apparent that there are two primary aesthetics in play with these new cosmetic items: one continuing the wintry theme established by Fortnite's seventh season and the other smacking of sci-fi and droids. This can be seen in seven of the revealed skins, with The Ice Queen, Malcore, Jaeger, and Fyra all looking fit for snow, while Instinct, Tech Ops, and Cobalt appear to be pulled directly from the future.

Several newly revealed pickaxes continue this trend, as the Ice Bringer and Battle Axe act as perfect compliments to the frostier skins, and the Armature looks well suited for any cybernetic being. New gliders and pieces of back bling round out the opportunity to embellish on these established themes, and players that really want to take their Ice Queen or Malcore skins to the next level will be happy to have access to the Malcore Wings glider or the Ice Spikes back bling.

That said, there are a few leaked cosmetics that are not in the realm of the aforementioned items. The Common Cabbie skin, for example, seemingly stands alone as a very minor cosmetic tweak, and the wacky Flimsie Flail pickaxe does not quite fit in the hands of a robot or winter royalty.

Of course, all of this is topped off by a number of new emotes. Soon enough it appears that players will be telling others to "Cheer Up" as they dance the "Slick," "Flux," and "Whirlwind."

There has been no definitive release date for any of these new cosmetics, but it seems sensible that the wintry themed items will be available imminently while the sci-fi cosmetics may be further away. Until these new items arrive, the v7.20 update has a lot of content to keep fans occupied, including the game's new Legendary Scoped Revolver.

Fortnite is available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
