Not too long ago, Epic Games discovered a critical controller issue that required the studio's attention before rolling out Fortnite Battle Royale's Update 5.40, which caused the developer to delay the forthcoming patch and challenges for Season 5 Week 9 of the game. While this postponement has forced players to wait until later this week to take on the latest list of feats, the delay did little to deter dataminers from scouring the title's files to potentially uncover all of the Free Challenges and Battle Pass Challenges for Season 5 Week 9.

Presuming that the leaked list in the image below is accurate, then Fortnite Battle Royale fans shouldn't expect to encounter too many difficulties in completing Season 5 Week 9's challenges. That said, though, with Epic Games having recently included Tomato Temple as a fresh location in the title, the final Battle Pass challenge–that is, eliminating opponents in what once was Tomato Town–may prove to be the most taxing of the bunch, as the area will likely be teeming with other players looking to put a check mark next to this task as well.

For those unaware, should these undertakings go on to actually make the cut and show up as Fortnite Battle Royale's Season 5 Week 9 challenges, then fans should expect to see them added alongside the highly anticipated High Stakes challenges that go live in the update this Thursday. Of course, there's a chance that some of these will be amended somewhat or replaced altogether before tomorrow's patch, so it's best not to get too attached to any of them.

Beyond Fortnite Battle Royale's Season 5 Week 9 challenges, Epic Games might also use the multiplayer sandbox survival shooter's next update to incorporate a new Grappling Gun item that could significantly assist one's ability to speedily traverse throughout the map. So, taking all of this into consideration, it sounds as if Week 9 for fifth season of Fortnite will provide players with plenty to do.

Fortnite is available now in early access on iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with an Android beta currently underway.
