For the past seven weeks, Epic Games has consistently added new challenges to Fortnite's Season 5 every Thursday. This week is different, however, as the Week 7 challenges for Season 5 in Fortnite have been delayed to tomorrow morning, Friday, August 24.

Some Fortnite fans may be wondering why Epic has decided to delay the Week 7 challenges, and the reason is the rather large update that released for the game today instead. Update 5.3 for Fortnite adds the Score Royale Mode along with the Rift-to-Go item and comes in at over 1GB in file size, so it's definitely one of the more sizable updates that have been released for the game this season.

Luckily, Fortnite enthusiasts can try out the new content added as part of the 5.3 update while they wait for the Week 7 challenges to go live in the game tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, we already have an idea of what the Week 7 challenges will entail, as the challenges have leaked online.

Fortnite 2.51 update crashes

Like previous weeks, the Week 7 challenges in Fortnite's battle royale mode will consist of three free challenges and four challenges that are exclusive to Battle Pass owners. The free challenges this week are all fairly straightforward, and task players with getting SMG eliminations, searching Supply Drops, and visiting the center of four named locations in a single match. A few of the Battle Pass challenges are no-brainers as well, such as dealing damage to opponents' structures with Remote Explosives, searching chests in Lucky Landing, and eliminating opponents in Lazy Links.

One Week 7 Battle Pass challenge may give players trouble though, and that's the challenge to follow the treasure map found in Pleasant Park. Players will first have to land in Pleasant Park, find the treasure map, and then decipher it in order to find the new hidden battle star Epic has hidden on the map.

And speaking of hidden battle stars, the next Season 5 hidden battle star for Road Trip challenges should become available tomorrow. Of course, players will have to complete all the Week 7 challenges before they even have a chance of finding it, so it may be a few days before its location in the game becomes widely known.

Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
