While they were added to the game a bit later than usual, the Season 5 Week 7 challenges have since been properly added to Fortnite's free-to-play battle royale mode. Week 7 adds three new free challenges and four Battle Pass challenges for players to complete, and while some of them are fairly straightforward, a few may give players some trouble.

Here are all the Season 5 Week 7 challenges in Fortnite and how to complete each one.

Visit different Named Locations in a single match - 0/4

For this challenge, we recommend starting at the top of the map and then just moving south. A great place to start is Junk Junction, as players can easily make their way to Haunted Hills, then Pleasant Park, and then go to Tilted Towers or Lazy Links from there. Alternatively, another easy way to complete this challenge is by dropping at Risky Reels, then visiting Tomato Temple (previously known as Tomato Town), and going east to Wailing Woods before heading south to finish the challenge at Lonely Lodge.

Search Supply Drops - 0/3

Supply drops are crates that drop onto the map and usually have rare items inside them. Supply drops are not all that common in Fortnite, so it's surprising that this objective isn't labeled "HARD" like some of the other challenges this week. Regardless, players should be able to search three Supply Drops eventually if they just keep playing the game, but note that this particular challenge could take some time.

SMG Eliminations - 0/3 (HARD)

SMGs are actually one of the better weapons in Fortnite, especially if players are adept at getting headshots. Anyone that struggles with getting SMG kills can make this challenge a little easier when playing in any of the modes besides Solo. In any match type where enemies go down when their health meter is depleted instead of dying right away, players can down them using any method they like, and then finish them off with an SMG to get the elimination.

Deal damage to opponents structures with Remote Explosives - 0/8,000

Remote Explosives have been controversial in Fortnite, with Epic even removing them from the game at one point. Now it looks like remote explosives are here to stay, and they are even part of this week's Battle Pass challenges. Players don't have to get any kills with the Remote Explosives, though; they just have to damage opponents' structures with them. Near the end of matches, players may be able to find a variety of structures that others have built throughout the game world that they can destroy with Remote Explosives, so it's not even necessary to use these when in active combat.

Multi-Step Challenge

One of the more unique challenges this week in Fortnite is a multi-step challenge that has players loot chests in specific locations on the map. This challenge is split into five stages, and they are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Search a chest in Pleasant Park
  • Stage 2: Search a chest in Retail Row
  • Stage 3: Search a chest in Lucky Landing
  • Stage 4: Search a chest in Greasy Grove
  • Stage 5: Search a chest in Paradise Palms

Follow the treasure map in Dusty Divot (HARD)

This challenge is only hard if players go to Dusty Divot, search for the treasure map, and then try to solve it themselves. It's actually one of the easiest challenges of the week if players already know where to land. Simply land a little northwest of Dusty Divot, and check the cluster of three trees near the mustachioed Stone Head to find the hidden battle star.

fortnite lazy links

Potentially, players could combine this challenge to get eliminations at Lazy Links with the other challenge to get SMG eliminations. However, any kind of eliminations will do, as long as the eliminations take place at Lazy Links, which can be found at the northern part of the map.

Once players have completed all the Season 5 Week 7 challenges, and assuming they've completed all previous challenges as well, they can then find the bonus secret battle star that's hidden on the world map. The Week 7 hidden battle star can be found in the motel that's to the west of Lazy Links, so maybe players can stop there after getting their Lazy Links eliminations.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
