Throughout Fortnite Season 5, players have been given weekly challenges to complete. Completing these challenges successfully rewards players with Battle Stars which allow them to unlock new cosmetics (e.g new emotes and sprays) as they go.

The Fortnite Season 5, Week 6 challenges are now live, and players are scrambling to complete them before next Thursday rolls around and the challenges refresh once more. There are seven challenges in total (three free challenges and four for Battle Pass owners) with 50 Battle Stars up for grabs in total. There's also a 6K XP bonus for players who complete all seven challenges.

Deal Headshot Damage to Opponents (0/500)

The first challenge on the list is fairly straightforward, as one will just need to deal 500 points of headshot damage against other players. Fortnite is currently running a Limited Time Mode called Sniper Shootout, and this, along with the new Heavy Sniper Rifle weapon, should help make this challenge a little easier.

Harvest Building Resources With a Pickaxe (0/3,000)

The best approach for this challenge is to try and aim for a secluded or out of the way area on the map once jumping out of the Battle Bus. By aiming for a spot away from other players on the map, players will be able to go H.A.M. on Fortnite's destructible environments, without being bothered by other players trying to take you out.

Search Where the Stone Heads Are Looking (HARD)

The Fortnite map features several giant Stone Heads facing in different directions. For this challenge, players have to visit the place where their lines of sight intersect. Though, visiting the Stone Heads and figuring this out for oneself isn't actually mandatory.

To quickly complete the "where the Stone Heads are looking" challenge, players just need to visit a grassy mountain southwest of Salty Springs which is south of Dusty Divot (it's marked on the diagram above). Players will find a free Battle Star at the location and will bag themselves 10 Battle Stars for completing the challenge.

Search Chests in Lonely Lodge 0/7

Fortnite Best Loot Visual Guide - Chest

This week of Fortnite challenges, like many others before it, includes a search chest quest. Chests will spawn randomly around the location and players need only locate them and loot them to get a step closer towards completing the challenge.

It's important to note that many players are expected to be hitting up Lonely Lodge over the next few days, because everyone will want to complete this challenge. Of course, this also means that there are plenty of targets to help complete other challenges such as the headshot and minigun/LMG challenges.

Completed Timed Trials 0/5

Fortnite timed trials locations

Dotted across the map, players will find timer icons that, when activated, will begin a time trial. These trials require players to hit all of the time trial icons before the time runs out. Failure to successfully complete the trial in the allotted time just means that it will reset and players will have to reactive the icon to do it over again.

The best plan of action is to build before attempting to complete it. Trying to build and jump up to collect the icons will prove unsuccessful so a proactive approach is best. The locations of the timed trials are highlighted on the map above (the pink rings represent timed trial locations).

Minigun or Light Machine Gun Eliminations 0/3 (HARD)

Another tough challenge, this one requires Fortnite players to use a minigun or a light machine gun to take out opponents. One suggestion is to team up with other players in Duos or Squads, downing an opponent with another weapon (of one's choice) before dealing the final blow(s) with a minigun or LMG. Trying to obliterate an opponent completely using just the minigun or LMG may be far too time-consuming.

Eliminate Opponents in Tilted Towers 0/3 (HARD)

Tilted Towers is one of the most frequented and talked-about locations on the Fortnite map. While this means that players will have plenty of opponents to try to perform this challenge on, it also means that they will face a massive amount of competition. Players may want to take a squad or a Duos partner for backup on this one.

Fortnite is now available on iOS, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. An Android beta is also taking place.
