Fortnite season 10, officially stylized as season X with an "Out of Time" theme, introduces a brand new Battle Pass for players to purchase (roughly $10) and complete. It's worth adding that the Season 10 Battle Pass can be gifted to friends, but this has to be done by August 15. Doing so means that friends will be able to team up, complete challenges, and unlock new, twisted versions of classic Fortnite skins together.
The reveal of the Battle Pass also gives players a glance into the season 10 story, as the Zero Point has become a volatile location following the season 9 explosion. This time-bending event connects the past and the future of the battle island, with classic Fortnite locations like Dusty Depot making a somehow twisted return. This ties into a number of skins, as well, because Drift, Rust Lord, and the Fort Knight-inspired tier 100 skin are all connected to this explosion.
Tier 1 Battle Pass Starter Skin — X-Lord
X-Lord is a variant of the Rust Lord who starts off as a helmeted figure in a jacket, but later style options allow him to show off his abs and tattoos in a Mad Max approach to Fortnite.
Tier 1 Battle Pass Starter Skin — Catalyst
Colors: Classic Drift, White, Black and Purple
Catalyst is the female version of Drift, who like the Fortnite season 5 skin, grows from a generic-looking character into her Kitsune mask and heavy jacket.
Tier 23 Battle Pass Skin — Tilted Teknique
Tilted Teknique is an edgier version of the Fortnite season 4 Teknique skin, if that's even possible. Instead of a respirator, she uses a bandana and has other edgy features like blue hair, paint stains, and more.
Tier 47 Battle Pass Skin — Yond3r
DJ Yonder is back from Fortnite season 6, initially sporting a golden helmet in contrast with his old silver helmet. However, Yond3r will eventually ditch the helmet in later unlockable styles
Tier 70 Battle Pass Skin — Sparkle Supreme
Reaching all the way back into Fortnite season 2, Sparkle Specialist is back as Sparkle Supreme, a more futuristic version of the classic skin.
Tier 87 Battle Pass Skin — Eternal Voyager
Dark Voyager was an older Fortnite skin that resembled the classic astronaut, but Eternal Voyager goes a step further. While he looks like a more Advanced Space Age-era astronaut to begin with, he eventually removes the helmet to reveal his Fortnite-teased flaming skull that channels some serious astral Ghost Rider vibes.
Tier 100 Final Battle Pass Skin — Ultima Knight
The tier 100 Ultima Knight skin is the only skin in the entire Battle Pass that is not a twisted version. That said, Ultima Knight clearly draws inspiration from the Fort Knight-themed days and manages to round off the Battle Pass on a high note. He also comes with some swanky gear that can be unlocked, including a massive hammer, a dragon glider, and unique dragon crest shield. How the Ultima Knight ties into the story remains to be seen, but if these skins are any indication, Fortnite season 10 and its map changes are going to be a wild ride.
Fortnite is out now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
