Fortnite has at last added international soccer superstar Neymar Jr as a new skin. Officially unleashed yesterday, the Brazilian Paris Saint-Germain FC Forward brings new skin variants, quests, cosmetics, and more.

The arrival of Neymar Jr. comes after numerous rumors and leaks that the footballer would be coming to Fortnite Season 6. Although Neymar is the first real-world soccer player to be added to Epic Games' popular battle royale, 2021 has seen "the beautiful game" greatly expand its presence. Earlier this year, Epic Games partnered with over 20 of the world's biggest soccer clubs to bring official soccer skins to Fortnite.

How to Score a Goal with the Soccer Ball Toy as Neymar Jr. in Fortnite

One of the new quests that accompany the new Neymar Jr. content tasks players with scoring a goal with the Soccer Ball Toy Emote with the Neymar Jr. skin. While this may seem like a simple quest, players must complete several things beforehand if they hope to complete the quest successfully. Before anything else, players must first purchase the Season 6 Battle Pass. In order to unlock the Soccer Ball Toy Emote, players must talk to at least one of Fortnite's multiple soccer characters. In order to attain the Neymar Jr. cosmetic, the other component, players must complete five quests from the soccer players around the island.

Once both pieces of criteria have been met, players will need to head towards the soccer pitch, located in the southern half of Pleasant Park. While there is technically a kickable soccer ball on the field, the Soccer Ball Toy Emote is the only ball that will actually complete the task. All that needs to be done is to simply be close to and facing either of the goals, and activate the emote. If aimed correctly, the ball should go flying into the net, completing the quest which earns players the Jaguar Strike Pickaxe. A bit more straightforward than drop-kicking the ball 500 meters, the biggest threat to players in this instance is, well, other players. Pleasant Park is a busy POI as it is, and the new quest should make it even busier.

More Neymar Jr Content in Fortnite

The new batch of content also continues Fortnite's trend of introducing new competitions to the game. In addition to this season's FNCS tournament starting last weekend, gamers will be able to compete in the Neymar Jr. Cup. A Solo tournament, fans will have a shot at winning a custom-designed PUMA soccer boot, inspired by Neymar Jr's primal exhibition form. Players can also win the new Spinner Takes All Emoticon as part of the competition.

The new Neymar Jr. content should provide players with some fun and interesting things to do. The addition of the real-life player could set a precedent that will bring more world-renowned athletes to Fortnite, which would certainly be interesting to see.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
