With Fortnite Battle Royale continually evolving due to Epic Games adding to and altering the free-to-play multiplayer sandbox survival shooter on a near-constant basis, freshly added weapons and frequent gameplay changes have been par for the course since its inception. Speaking of new assets, it looks as if the developer has decided it will be adding a Legendary Scoped Revolver for players to use in the game.

According to Fortnite Battle Royale's in-game news feed, the Legendary Scoped Revolver will contain six shots and give players "perfect accuracy at range", which will likely make it a popular choice with those who choose to engage in combat at a distance. Epic didn't reveal exactly when the new pistol will make its way into the game other than to say it was "coming soon", but there's a good chance that it could arrive on either Tuesday or Wednesday following the release of Update 7.20.

For those unaware, the Legendary Scoped Revolver won't be the only mid to long-range firearm that made its way into Fortnite Battle Royale during Season 7, as Epic recently introduced the Suppressed Sniper Rifle into the game. So, once the Legendary Scoped Revolver arrives, it's safe to say that most, if not all players will need to keep their heads on a swivel when exploring the map, as there will be the lingering threat of opponents holding an inventory of solid long-range weapons to take them out from a distance.

All things considered, there's always the possibility that some Fortnite Battle Royale fans will be underwhelmed by the addition of the Legendary Scoped Revolver, as some prefer such weaponry as explosives, pump shotguns, and automatic assault rifles instead. As previously inferred, though, Epic could always cater to those users in another update down the line, as the developer is almost always making tweaks to the game.

Fortnite is available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
