Fortnite fans continue to complete fun and unique quests every week as they strive to level up the season 6 battle pass. Players who log on after the release of the week 6 quests will find an objective to open safes. Anyone who succeeds at tracking down these hidden safes across the island and opens three of them will earn 24k XP towards the battle pass. As with many quest objectives, the goal doesn't have to be met in a single match. Even so, players may need some guidance to avoid wandering aimlessly in search of the hidden safe locations.

A safe in Fortnite is an interactable object that contains gold bars. These gold bars can be traded to NPCs throughout the map in exchange for resources, services, or powerful weapons. Safes are very similar to chests, in that they have specific points where they can spawn. However, it isn't guaranteed that they will spawn in a given location every match. Safes can also be more difficult to find as they don't glow or ring the same way chests do.

The map above shows all the points where a safe can spawn during season 6 of Fortnite. As a reminder, it isn't guaranteed that a safe will definitely spawn at each point in a single match. It can take some perseverance and patience to slowly progress through the quest over the course of multiple matches. While it could be possible to open three safes in a single match, doing so would require a lot of traveling. Players who want to investigate as many safe spawn locations as possible will have to use some clever traversal techniques, such as the new Grappler Bow.

There are many possible strategies that players can employ when trying to complete this week's quest. The route that a player chooses to travel can vary based on the randomized position of the storm. One route that fans can try is to start in Stealthy Stronghold, where a safe can possibly spawn near the north end of the fortress. Grabbing the aforementioned Grappler Bow from Lara Croft will allow for quick movement over to Coral Castle, where two safes might spawn. Players can then head south to investigate a few more spots in Sweaty Sands and Holly Hedges.

Players who do decide to search for safes at Coral Castle could have the convenient opportunity to knock out another weekly quest. There is a time trial challenge that can be completed for an additional 24k XP. The time trial quest could also be completed near Weeping Woods, which would direct players downstream towards Slurpy Swamp where two more safes can potentially be found.

After completing the relatively simple task of opening safes, players will be that much closer to completing the season 6 battle pass. The season continues until June, so there will be plenty of time for fans to claim the rewards waiting at level 100. For those who can't wait to earn more XP, there are sure to be quite a few quests that aren't yet complete. Another recently released quest involves visiting some scenic locations around the island.

Fortnite is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
