Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 started off with an interesting new theme: part of the battle royale map was flooded and many of the locations underwent significant changes. Previously, the drive-in-cinema-themed Point of Interest "Risky Reels" was underwater. With the July 11 update, the water has dropped and Risky Reels is accessible again.

Now that the water is gone, players can access Risky Reels like normal. Other Fortnite locations aren't so lucky, like Pleasant Park, which is still an available location but now has propped-up floating houses and is missing several roads and sidewalks. The flooding hasn't just altered or removed locations; it's also added some. The Fortilla is a new ring of islands with some buildings.

Risky Reels, which can be found to the west of Frenzy Farm, is one of the oldest locations in Fortnite and a fan favorite. It's boxed in by a big rectangular fence, and filled with tons of cars next to a big movie screen. It's not marked on the map, but is located in coordinates E3 and E4. It's been the location of a few events throughout Fortnite history, like the Wreck-it-Ralph feature and Star Wars event, the latter event completely transforming Risky Reels' look into a Millennium Falcon landing zone.

fortnite location point of interest

Risky Reels has gone through several transformations in its time on the map. In Season 7, The Block crushed all of Risky Reels except for the drive-in marquee. Risky Reels seemed to have left for good in Season 8 when it was replaced by a jungle, until Season 10/X paid the location an homage with a shrine near Sunny Steps. Chapter 2 began with a rotated Risky Reels' return beside Frenzy Farm, where it remained as a playable location until it was rendered inaccessible by the Chapter 2, Season 3 flooding . . . until now.

Players visiting Risky Reels now can see that the cars have been destroyed and are coated with slimy seaweed. The location is again an unnamed location. Still, it's better off than places like the still almost completely submerged Dirty Docks, which is speculated to return to normal later on in the season like Risky Reels did.

As Season 3 continues, the water levels will keep changing up new locations and big events like a superhero/supervillain showdown are even on the potential radar. Players should keep an eye out for more changes and updates coming to Risky Reels and other popular locations.

Fortnite is available for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
