Not too long ago, after decorating certain portions of the map with spooky decorations, Epic Games teased that a bigger Halloween event is on the way in its wildly successful multiplayer sandbox survival shooter, Fortnite. As part of the forthcoming festivities, it now looks as if the video game developer is potentially teasing the return of the revolver to the free-to-play Battle Royale portion of the title.

As seen in the tweet below, Fortnite fans can get a gander at a gloved hand holding a revolver, with Epic Games having added a portentous piece of rhymed verse below the image that tells players to prepare themselves to "Take the shot", presumably with the aforementioned gun once it returns. While the studio has yet to officially confirm as much, it definitely appears as if the firearm's set to make a comeback during the game's upcoming Halloween celebration, as the tweet has been tagged with the event's "Fortnitemares" hashtag.

For those who have been out of the loop with Fortnite as of late, it's not uncommon for Epic Games to have Vaulted guns, weapons, items, and even modes, only to have them return to the current period of play after a certain amount of time. With this being the case, it wouldn't be too outlandish to see the revolver make a comeback into the free-to-play portion of the Battle Royale title.

Beyond the revolver's possible addition back into Fortnite Battle Royale, players undoubtedly have plenty more to look forward to as Season 6 marches on thanks to Epic Games' near-constant updates for the game. As it so happens, a recent leak indicated that the studio would be adding Gravity Options in the title's Playground, which could have interesting implications on future Limited Time Modes coming to the title.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now in early access for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
