It seems that Fortnite is going to have another crossover with Resident Evil, as new Fortnite skins featuring two of the most beloved characters from the famous survival-horror franchise have leaked online. The first time Fortnite had a collab with Resident Evil was in October 2021, when players could buy the skins of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield from the in-game item shop.Fortnite has quickly become one of the most popular and influential multiplayer video games of all time, and one of the biggest reasons for that is the existence of collaborations between Fortnite and other huge franchises, such as Star Wars, DC Comics, and Street Fighter. The collaborations contribute to the game’s massive player base by constantly introducing fresh and intriguing content, that can attract new players who otherwise might not have been interested in the battle royale game. These partnerships frequently result in new skins, equipment, and game modes that draw inspiration from the partnering property, which may generate a lot of buzz and enthusiasm among players.RELATED: Fortnite Player Goes from Level 1 to 100 in a Day for the Fifth TimeTwitter user ShiinaBR, who is a well-known Fortnite content leaker, has posted an online picture of what seems to be the latest Resident Evil characters who will soon join the Battle Royal Island: Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy. The skins seem to resemble the characters’ appearance from Resident Evil 2, as Leon is seen wearing his signature blue henley, while Claire is sporting her iconic red vest.

It is possible that these skins will release concurrently with the Resident Evil 4 remake, which is scheduled to release on March 24. It is not yet known if these Fortnite x Resident Evil skins will be unlocked through the in-game item shop, or via a set of challenges like in the last Witcher collab event, where players could unlock Geralt of Rivia by completing a series of fun quests, as long as they had bought that Season’s Battle Pass.

While another collaboration with Resident Evil could be a great way to bring two popular franchises together while also creating new and exciting content for Fortnite, the long-awaited release of the game’s Chapter 4 Season 2 will also feature another epic crossover with the acclaimed Attack on Titan anime, as players will be able to unlock the skin of Eren Yeager, the protagonist of the series. It is clear that Fortnite’s continuing collaborations are significantly important for a free-to-play game that depends on microtransactions for income.

Fortnite is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
