Following a short tease, Epic Games has seen fit to reintroduce the Power Chord Skin back into its popular battle royale title Fortnite. For those unaware, it was a rare skin that was part of the Volume 11 set, which also includes the Stage Dive glider, the Anarchy Axe, and the Rock Out emote. All of these are now available in the Item Shop, with the skin setting players back 2,000 V-bucks.

This return is likely to be well received by many fans of the battle royale game. After all, there has been a dedicated group petitioning for the return of the skin. These Power Chord fans have been a small but vocal group over various forms of social media, pleading that Epic give the Fortnite Power Cord skin another run. Seemingly, it worked since she is now available in the latest store update.

However, many are also likely to be upset by this move. Much like the Red Knight skin, it was very rare before Epic issued its re-release. Now, because more people were able to get their hands on it, the Red Knight's rarity and in-game worth to some players have decreased. The Power Chord skin is likely to go the way of the Red Knight skin, which means those who obtained it before are likely to be upset. Check out the Item Shop below:

Some have already mockingly asked if the Skull Trooper or Ghoul Trooper would be next, highlighting this disparity between skin rarities. Nevertheless, there's no changing it now, as this remains an issue where there are two clear and distinct sides. One thing that unifies the fanbase, however, is the upcoming transition to season 6 where the latest rumors indicate that the mystery cube could explode.

Of course, while the Power Chord is a coveted skin, so is the Tier 100 Ragnarok Skin on Fortnite's season 5 Battle Pass. Those who haven't yet earned it have limited time left, so hopefully, those players are staying up to date on the season 5 challenges. One challenge that could be particularly perplexing is the "Visit Seven Stone Head Locations" challenge, which is detailed in this guide here.

As Fortnite edges ever closer to season 6, stay tuned for more, Ranters!
