Using Fortnite, and more specifically its Creative mode, a builder by the name of Nellaf is finishing up his recreation of Modern Warfare 2's classic multiplayer map Highrise. Nellaf is a member of Fortnite creation group Team Evolve, a collection of builders and game mode makers for Fortnite's Creative mode.

Highrise, which was released as one of Modern Warfare 2's base game multiplayer maps, takes place atop a skyscraper in New York City. The map is generally fondly remembered by many players, among the likes of Favela, Rust, and Terminal, for its chaotic, multi-layered combat, which allows for a variety of playstyles.

Nella has painstakingly recreated Highrise, down to the angles at which various objects are tilted, and his effort shows. Aside from the different lighting between games, Nella's Fortnite rendition of Highrise looks uncannily like its Call of Duty counterpart. The map's cranes are angled just right, the surrounding buildings outside the play area are accurately recreated, and even the helicopter and lettering on the building are both right where they should be. Even minuscule details like various teddy bears placed around the map as Easter eggs are still present in the Fortnite version.

This isn't the first time Nellaf has recreated a map in Call of Duty. Previously, he had brought Black Ops 2's multiplayer Standoff, set in a town in Kyrgyzstan, to Fortnite. Nellaf is also the builder behind the Fortnite recreation of Super Mario Sunshine's Delfino Plaza.

The group he's a member of, Team Evolve, also has quite the extensive catalog of Fortnite creations to their name. Recreations its members have made include Counter-Strike's Dust 2, which is playable with its own search and destroy mode, the aforementioned Rust from Modern Warfare 2, and a Corellian corvette from Star Wars. Aside from creating original maps and game modes, Team Evolve occasionally works on creations for larger organizations like the Red Cross or Nickelodeon.

Considering that Nellaf tweeted that players can expect a code for the map "this weekend," it's safe to assume that Fortnite players should be able to hop on Highrise either today or tomorrow. For now, the most any Fortnite or Call of Duty fans will be able to see are the photos that Nellaf released side by side with screenshots from Modern Warfare 2. And frankly, they look pretty spot on.

Fortnite is currently available on Android, iOS, Mac, PC, Playstation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
