Fortnite Battle Royale recently received a major update adding a new weapon called the Impulse Grenade. Upon detonation, the Impulse Grenade will send anyone caught in its radius flying. When the weapon was announced, players rightfully assumed that it could be used for some impressive and ridiculous ambush kills.

A gameplay clip posted by one Fortnite Battle Royale fan shows every other player of the hit multiplayer game exactly how it's done. The kill demonstrated in the gameplay clip below can only be described as brutal and absolutely devastating.

The kill requires a small amount of time to set up. First, the Fortnite player builds a few brick walls, with two walls facing each other (this is important). On one of the walls, the player places a spike trap. Then, in between the walled enclosure, they put several items from their inventory on the ground including a Med Kit (which restores a character to full health) and some ammunition. Next, the player crouches in a bush and lays in wait, staying patient until an opponent comes along.

When another Fortnite player finally does stumble into the trap, enticed by the allure of useful items, it doesn't take long for the trapper to take them down. The player leaps from the bush and throws an Impulse Grenade down which launches the enemy into the spike trap. This isn't enough to take them out, though, and it takes one more shot to finish them off. The fact that the final shot was with no-scope only adds to the disrespect.

This particular kill is also comparable to the hilarious death trap plan. In that specific case, players walked into a trap where they got spiked to death, allowing one very crafty person to rack up a load of kills with minimal effort.

Unsurprisingly, many players in the Fortnite Battle Royale community are loving this clip, as it shows the possibilities gifted to them with each new weapon and update. Battle Royale can be unpredictable, and that's just one of the reasons why millions of people play it.

Fans can surely expect more silliness to come out of Fortnite Battle Royale soon since developers Epic Games and People Can Fly have announced future plans for the game, including more limited time modes. The Fortnite community is clearly very creative and it remains to be seen how else they can make use of these new gameplay opportunities.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now in early access on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
