Fortnite has seen no shortage of crossovers, with everything from Star Wars to other video game franchises like Borderlands making an appearance in Epic Games’ beloved battle royale. One Fortnite crossover a few years back saw NFL players come to the game, and due to an extended partnership, new versions of these skins are on the way.

Fortnite players were treated to NFL skins back in 2018, with all 32 teams being given a skin of their own. Players could represent the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, or any team in between, as an NFL uniform for every franchise was purchasable in Fortnite’s item shop. Football fans should prepare some more V-bucks soon, however, as the team skins will be returning with a twist.

Though Fortnite’s NFL skins were brought back for the Super Bowl, these updated versions of the team uniforms will be a bit deeper. According to the post from NFL communications announcing the addition of the “redesigned NFL uniforms” to Fortnite, the “more athletic, aerodynamic look” of each of the skins will be noticeable immediately. Further, players will be able to alter the jersey number on their skins, a nice detail that adds a bit of customization to the outfits.

The last major bit of information in the announcement pertains to a new piece of back bling that has an interesting effect. According to the post, the special back bling titled “Logo-a-go-go” lets players stick the logo of their favorite NFL team directly on their backs. With 32 customization options available, the bling provides a good bit of variety, and players should enjoy using it if they are football fans. Clearly, the NFL’s relationship with Fortnite has proven successful, as the deal seems to be profitable for both sides.

As for when players can expect the skins, reputable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared that the skins would be available to purchase starting on November 25. While this is unconfirmed, Fortnite leaks like this are usually credible, so players should have some idea of when their V-bucks need to be ready. For now, the only question remaining is how long the skins will remain in the item shop for. Back when Fortnite’s NFL skins first released, they were removed from the item shop after only four days, so players may want to secure their team’s attire quickly.

For Fortnite players with no interest in football, the game’s ongoing crossover with Marvel may prove more interesting. With a detailed new skin for Venom recently released, and dozens of other comic book heroes and villains to choose from, there is more skin variety in Fortnite than ever before.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
