Over the past couple of years, Fortnite has become synonymous with crossovers. The free-to-play title has brought in many guest skins from many different mediums of pop culture, but anime has historically been one of the more underrepresented areas of pop culture. This will completely change in the coming days, as Fortnite is officially teasing a Naruto crossover.

Epic Games' enduringly popular battle royale title appears to be ramping up crossover skins for the latter half of its Season 8. In the past few weeks, Fortnite has added Paul Atreides and Chani from the 2021 film adaptation of Dune, and more recently Arcane Jinx from popular MOBA League of Legends.

Fortnite made the announcement by posting a single teaser image to its official Twitter account. The image features a very specific cloud-dappled sky for those familiar with the anime series, overlayed with both the Fortnite and Naruto Shippuden logo. Beneath the logos lies the simple phrase "Believe It," which serves the dual purpose of finally confirming the longstanding rumors of a Naruto crossover, but also happens to be the titular Naruto Uzumaki's signature catchphrase. The Naruto crossover content teaser sets the arrival date for November 16.

The confirmation of a Naruto crossover confirms the widely circulated rumors that the Hidden Leaf Village ninja and company would be dropping into the game, and could be a herald for even more major anime crossovers. According to a leak back in July, Shueisha, owner of Shonen Jump magazine, was working with Epic Games on anime crossovers. with Naruto's confirmation, other big-name Shonen Jump properties could be slated to arrive in Fortnite, including Bleach, Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, One Piece and many more.

With the Naruto manga and anime featuring a vast array of characters to choose from, it should be interesting to see how many characters will make their way into Fortnite, and what versions of those characters will be available. Its practically guaranteed Naruto Uzumaki will appear as the first Naruto crossover skin, being the main protagonist of the franchise. Sasuke Uchiha is another extremely likely candidate, being equally as important and a fan-favorite character. Both are known for having multiple transformations, a few of which are likely to become skin variants.

Players should keep an eye out on November 16 for the expected full reveal of Fortnite's Naruto crossover content. However, while Naruto coming to Fortnite is certainly a big deal, another massively popular property may soon make its way into the game. According to a recently posted leak, a Fall Guys crossover event could be happening soon.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
