Since the appearance of the mystery cube in Epic Games' popular battle royale title Fortnite, players have been attempting to figure out what the cube is doing. This, of course, became much more complicated when the anti-gravity dome appeared around it. Nevertheless, this latest theory is very interesting and suggests, once again, Tilted Towers is in trouble.

Based on the runes that appear on the purple surface of the mystery cube, several players now think the cube, wherever else it goes, will end up in Tilted. These runes on the cube, when repositioned on the map, fit perfectly with the layout of this high-intensity area. Of course, Epic Games isn't likely to comment on this latest Fortnite rumor, but it certainly seems within the realm of possibility. Check out it out below:

Recently, a couple of Fortnite players were able to glitch into the mystery cube, although that didn't reveal anything concerning the cube's intent. The development of this cube has been interesting but simple: it appeared, it began to move, and an anti-gravity dome has since appeared around it. This sequence makes further developments seem likely, so those dropping on the battle island may want to keep their eye on this strange machination.

Of course, this isn't the first time a rumor or theory has suggested Tilted Towers was in danger, and it's certainly possible this is another red herring. However, it's worth mentioning Fortnite has teased Lazy Links and Retail Row as possible targets, but since that poll (as seen below) seems more like a red herring, it's possible that Tilted's time has finally come.

While this theory is rather convincing and the cube itself is exciting news, some Fortnite fans may still be working on unlocking that coveted Ragnarok skin by reaching Tier 100 in the Battle Pass. For those racing against the end of the season, here's where every season 5 hidden battle star can be found.

Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
