Fortnite is preparing a collaboration with YouTuber MrBeast's virtual burger chain, as confirmed at the FNCS Invitational 2022. Epic Games has been an active supporter of content creators through the years. Fortnite's success, in many ways, can be attributed to its popularity on Twitch and YouTube. This has led to Fortnite collaborations with many content creators through the Icon series of cosmetics and events. Partnering with MrBeast Burgers, the YouTuber's odd virtual fast food chain is perhaps a collaboration few might have expected, though.

MrBeast Burger was founded on December 19, 2020, and it is a virtual restaurant created by Planet Hollywood mogul Robert Earl's Virtual Dining Concepts leveraging the branding of YouTuber MrBeast. MrBeast Burger is what's referred to as a virtual restaurant, or more ominously a dark restaurant. That means that MrBeast Burger doesn't have any brick-and-mortar locations, where customers can visit, sit, and eat. It licenses out to or contracts other restaurants, which sell MrBeast Burger food exclusively online for delivery.

At the ongoing FNCS Invitational, Epic Games had a surprise for attendees to discover. There's a large MrBeast Burger statue of a goofy Durr Burger with the MrBeast Burger logo in its mouth. In addition, the wall behind the statue shows the words "MrBeast Burger x Fortnite." No further details regarding the installation or any plans revolving around it have been shared.

While the immediate implication is that MrBeast or the MrBeast Burger brand will be featured within the battle royale in some way, there are other possibilities, too. Since the collaboration is being teased at a live event, it's possible that Epic Games has partnered with MrBeast Burger for some type of food partnership at the event. That's just one possibility, of course, but will hopefully make clear that the collaboration planned between Fortnite and the virtual restaurant isn't clear.

What some Fortnite fans are hoping for is something more of a traditional collaboration with MrBeast in Fortnite. That means they're hoping for a MrBeast Icon skin and potentially an in-game Fortnite event, too. Durr Burger assets in-game could become MrBeast Burgers, or something similar could be added at a random location.

All in all, it's not surprising to see Fortnite collaborating with another content creator that built their success alongside the rise of the battle royale. If anything, it's surprising that it has taken so long for MrBeast to partner with Fortnite. More details regarding Fortnite and MrBeast Burger's collaboration will hopefully be shared soon.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
