Epic Games is doing things a little differently this week in its wildly popular game, Fortnite. While new challenges appear each week inside the Battle Royale mode, the game appears to be taking a short break before season 8 begins officially. This week marks the start of Overtime Challenges, which are a set of three tasks arriving each week that all Fortnite players can attempt, regardless if they've previously purchased a Battle Pass or not. One of the three Overtime Challenges for this week tasks players with looting seven chests or ammo boxes at the RV Park or Motel.

Thankfully, these are places that most players should be aware of, as they're two of the oldest locations left on the map. The RV Park and Motel have survived most of the map changes that Epic has added over the past seven seasons, with only a small amount of wear and tear thanks to dimensional rifts and comets.

The motel can be found West of Lazy Links and Northeast of Pleasant Park at quadrant D2 on the map. Chests and ammo crates should be plentiful in this area, with gold chests typically appearing in the truck or the pool out front. A golden chest can also sometimes be found inside one of the buildings on the second floor. Ammo crates can be found mainly inside the building, though don't forget to check the small storage shed on the property as well. This zone isn't typically a hotbed of activity, but with this challenge now live, players should expect to see a lot more enemies drop in here.

On the other side of the map is the RV Park, which sits at quadrant I5 and I6 to the Southwest of Lonely Lodge and the Northeast of Retail Row. This place has a lot of nooks and crannies to check thanks to the multiple small houses and RVs. Make sure to check the many picnic tables and inside many of the small homes for both ammo and golden chests.

The rest of the Fortnite challenges this week shouldn't be too hard for players to complete, leading many to believe that most, if not all, of these weekly Overtime Challenges will be doable for players of all skill levels. Players will need to collect 15 coins in Featured Creative Islands and also place top fifteen in Duos three different times.

There's a big incentive for players to partake in these Overtime Challenges, with arguably one of the best rewards that Epic Games has ever offered. Not only are they free for everyone, but if a players is able to complete 13 of them in total before the next season starts, they will earn the season 8 Battle Pass for free. Normally, the premium side of the Battle Pass would cost players the V-Buck equivalent of $10. Now, though, all players have the opportunity to unlock premium items such as character skins for completing a series of challenges each week.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
