Epic Games is continuing to prove the value of the Fortnite brand, as the developer is once again partnering with Marvel for a tie-in comic. The comic in question will feature a mix of Marvel and Fortnite characters, and it will continue the story from the previous crossover.

Set after Fortnite X Marvel - Nexus War: Thor, Fortnite X Marvel - Zero War will see a group of characters from the Fortnite universe teaming up with some iconic Marvel characters to collect a Zero fragment. A piece of the Zero Point that was thrown into the Marvel universe, the item is needed to stop a war that is taking place on the Fortnite island. While details have not yet been revealed as to which Fortnite characters will feature in the comic, Jonesy does appear on the cover of the first issue.

As for the Marvel characters being used, several iconic figures are confirmed to be involved. The claw-wielding Wolverine will be present, as will Iron Man, a character that was integral to stopping Galactus when he invaded the Fortnite universe. Shuri will also make an appearance, as will Spider-Man. With the wall-crawler only joining Fortnite in Chapter 3, he missed out on having a role in Chapter 2’s Marvel-themed Season or the previous tie-in comic. With Spidey now being part of the Fortnite franchise, he is able to have a major role in the upcoming Zero War storyline.

As of now, it is unclear if any proper Marvel villains will appear in Zero War when the first issue debuts this June. While Fortnite features some prominent villains like Green Goblin, Venom, Thanos, and Doctor Doom, the only antagonists mentioned for the comic thus far are the Imagined Order. As such, it will be a complete surprise if any supervillains appear to try and take the Zero fragment for themselves.

It does seem like the comic is being taken seriously by both Marvel and Epic Games, though. On Marvel’s side, it is bringing in talents like Christos Gage, the writer behind Spider-Geddon - the sequel to the beloved Spider-Verse comic. As for Epic Games, it is rewarding everyone that purchases a first print issue with a redeemable code for an in-game item. While it is unclear what this cosmetic will be, it is safe to assume it will be Marvel related, so those that love Marvel and Fortnite will want to pick up the first issue once it drops. Another digital code will be provided to those that read all five issues through Marvel Unlimited.

With Fortnite’s Batman comic also proving popular, Epic Games has managed to show plenty of love to the DC universe as well. With more Marvel and Fortnite content on the way, there is plenty for fans of Fortnite’s crossovers to look forward to.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
