Two of the Week 7 quests in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 instruct players to mark enemies. While it is not particularly difficult to complete these quests, some fans may be confused about exactly how to mark enemies in Fortnite. This guide is here to alleviate that confusion and help players quickly address the associated challenges.

To note, it is possible to complete Fortnite's "mark enemies" quests in Team Rumble, and indeed it is recommended that players that are working on these challenges focus on that game mode. This is recommended because fans will respawn with their equipment when killed in Team Rumble, which makes it much easier to complete these quests, particularly the one that requires that numerous enemies be marked in a single match.

Get a Falcon Scout

The first step toward easily completing these quests is obtaining a Falcon Scout, an item that was added as part of Fortnite's v23.20 update. The Falcon Scout can be found in chests, in supply drops, and as floor loot, and Oathbound Chests seem to be a very consistent source for the item. Players are thus advised to visit locations with a high-density of Oathbound Chests, and The Citadel matches that description perfectly.

Find a Hiding Spot

With a Falcon Scout in hand, players should find a spot where they can hide. This will serve to minimize the interference that they encounter while they attempt to mark enemies, and the tops of trees that are scattered across Fortnite's map are good places to target.

Mark Enemies with the Falcon Scout

Fortnite players should now equip their Falcon Scouts and deploy them by pressing the input that is displayed on the left-side of the screen. This action will give fans direct control of their Falcons, and they should simply fly them around while pressing the input associated with "scan for enemies." This will cause the Falcon to perform a quick scan, and any enemy player or wildlife that is nearby will be marked.

Alternatively, players can mark an enemy or wildlife by pointing the Falcon's reticle at them. However, it is more likely that fans will mark multiple enemies using the "scan for enemies" function, making it the better option for quickly completing the "mark enemies" quests.

One last thing to say is that there are ways to tackle these challenges without a Falcon Scout. Specifically, fans can mark enemies by claiming capture points or with certain augments in Fortnite. While it will almost certainly take players that choose to use these strategies longer to complete the quests than those that use Falcon Scouts, they are worth mentioning nonetheless.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
