According to a recent rumor from a Fortnite leaker with a good track record, Epic Games will reveal a new area for the game that will replace the location called Neo Tilted.
Season 10 of Fortnite began recently and brought with it a huge new patch that introduced some big changes into the game. The patch has already made a lot of updates to the map, including the return of some old favorite spots, and the patch notes hint strongly that new locations will continue to roll out throughout the season.
Now, thanks to the leak, we seem to have a hint about one of those new areas. The information comes from FortForty, who discovered it while datamining the Fortnite update, and shared it in a series of Tweets.
FortForty posted a whole host of information about the new location, which is called Tilted Town. The Tweets includes photos that show off the architecture and audio files that players might find when they drop in. The town sports an old west theme, with buildings that look like something out of Red Dead Redemption 2.
It looks like Tilted Town will replace Neo Tilted, a section that features a lot of verticality. The new version, on the other hand, seems much more flat. The buildings that FortForty found all look to be only one or two stories, and this could change the way gameplay feels around the town entirely. The leak also includes a top-down view which provides good sense of the scale. It seems like the new town might make an apt setting for players to go head-to-head in the new mech suits that appeared with the new season.
FortForty has posted even more images of Tilted Town on their Twitter account. Along with the images, they posted the audio files they found.
Of course, Epic has not announced this change officially yet, so at this point take it as speculation. That said, FortForty has been right many times before, so it seems like chances are good that Fortnite players will be headed to the old west.
