Not too long ago, it was discovered that Fortnite landmarks are appearing in the real world, with the wildly popular multiplayer sandbox survival title's Durr Burger showing up in a desert outside of Palmdale, California. Now, it seems as if Epic Games is content to continue marketing the hybrid construction shooter by way of real-life props, as there have recently been multiple sightings of Loot Llamas across Europe.
As seen in the image below, the Redditor and Fortnite fan known as "eversoris86" posted a photo of a Loot Llama found in a London telephone booth, and the plastic likeness of the in-game item has been found across the continent. As it so happens, the Loot Llamas have not only been spotted in London, but also in Cologne, Barcelona, Warsaw, and Cannes, which shows that Epic Games wants to promote Fortnite as far and wide as possible.
Without a doubt, Epic Games' decision to do some guerrilla marketing across the globe for Fortnite is the company's way of promoting Season 5 of the game, which is set to go live not too much longer from now. The studio has definitely promoted the title in a creative way, as many in-game assets have currently been disappearing due to dimensional rifts showing up, with the portals having supposedly transported them to our world.
Taking everything into account, it will be interesting to see how Epic Games plans on having Season 5 top Season 4, as the most recent season contained a bevy of content for players to sink their teeth into. Thankfully, though, we won't have to wait too much longer to learn what else is to come, as there are only a few more days left to go before Season 5 officially goes live for Fortnite fans.
Fortnite is available now for Nintendo Switch, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
