Fortnite has garnered incredible attention as of late from fans and critics alike, and part of its success is the developer’s ability to constantly pump out new content for the game. While Epic Games hasn’t been drastically changing the core aspects of Fortnite with each update, the regular inclusion of new events, skins, and weapons gives fans something to look forward to. Now, keeping in line with Season 3's space theme, Fortnite has released another outlandish skin.

Epic Games has stepped off the deep end with its most recent legendary outfit: the Leviathan. Fans who have been keeping up with the news will recognize it from a recent data mine that uncovered the Tomato man skin, Tricera Ops, and a bevy of other yet to be released items.

The skin itself is reminiscent of the Dark Voyager and Mission Specialist skins, with the addition of having a fish for a head. Players who can’t wait to rock this outfit can purchase it for a hefty 2,000 V-Bucks, or $20 US dollars. Alongside this release is the planetary probe glider, which will run players 1,200 V-bucks, or about $12 US dollars.

There's no word yet on the release of the other legendary skins, but this one may prove extremely desirable thanks to its unique and unsettling appearance. Although it's hard to imagine a fish on land being very subtle, at the very least the skin's aquamarine shading will help it blend in with some of the greener backdrops on the island.

Fortnite Leviathan Skin Available

Even though cool and unique skins are undeniably popular, Fortnite is still seeing it's fair share of criticism lately. Most recently, Epic was accused of trying to tempt away team members of another upcoming battle royale game, Radical Heights. Regardless of the accusation, Fortnite still seems well on its way to becoming a pop culture phenomenon. Its momentum is carried by pop culture heavyweights such as Drake, who wants his Hotline Bling dance to become an emote and very publicly continues his support.

In other news, recently discovered floating rings have players wondering if a skydiving challenge will be added soon. This revelation comes as a result of the new replay system, which was also included in the latest patch.

Fortnite is available now for iOS, Mac, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
