Fortnite is a game that tries to regularly innovate, introducing new or recycled pieces of content on a near-constant basis. This continues to be proved with the battle royale title's introduction of Level Up Quest Packs, which offer players some unique perks never seen in the game before.

Epic Games' enduringly popular free-to-play title is now entering the final month of its inaugural Chapter 3 season. The new season and chapter have seen many major changes to the game, including adding a sliding mechanic, lightning and tornadoes, a bevy of new items, and more. Fortnite's recent 19.30 update adds even more significant changes, like new controller options and the removal of the Game Mode Select screen.

Fortnite's new Level Up Quest Packs are essentially exactly what they're titled -- a pack of quests that help players level up quickly. Players who purchase the new pack receive a new Outfit upon purchase, and will get seven weekly quests over four weeks, totaling 28 quests. Each Level Up Quest involves collecting a hidden Level Up Token on the Island. Players unlock a new cosmetic for completing all of a week's quests, with the first pack featuring a Fortnite original character Monarch. Completing each individual Level Up Quest earns players a full level, with a potential extra 28 levels total.

The new Level Up Quest Packs are not to be confused with the established Fortnite Crew Packs, although the two do have some similarities. The Fortnite Crew Pack for February introduces Aftermath, a rave-ified skeleton that features a unique reactive Back Bling. Both packs offer extra perks for purchasing, with the Level Up Quest Pack offering expedited leveling and Fortnite Crew offering 1,000 V-Bucks a month. However, the former doesn't require a subscription, although both packs will end up costing around the same amount per month.

The Level Up Quest Pack wasn't the only new thing introduced today. Fortnite is once again collaborating with the NBA, adding the NBA 75 All-Star Hub. The limited-time event adds new and returning NBA Outfits, along with a brand new customizable Back Bling. For the first time ever, Fortnite players can vote in-game for a future Emote, which can be done so on "NBA Lane," the hub's outdoor portion. With plenty of basketball courts throughout, players who sink enough baskets will be rewarded with the High Hoops Spray.

Fortnite's Level Up Quest Packs and their contents will remain valid until the end of the season, so players can determine whether it's worth buying based on how often they play. While the past few cosmetic offerings seem to be mostly Fortnite IP, John Cena is teasing his Fortnite debut, although its unclear if he'll appear as Peacemaker, his wrestling persona, or perhaps even one of The Seven.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
