Epic Games never stops adding new features to its incredibly popular battle royale game, Fortnite. A screenshot recently posted to Twitter by user HYPEX suggests that the next new feature to entertain players will be a massive, drivable driller tank.It took a while for vehicles to be added to Fortnite in the first place, but it quickly became one of its favorite features. Cars in particular are some of the best ways to get around the map quickly, although players undoubtedly attract more attention when they’re cruising around. Vehicles also require gas to keep driving, which makes gas stations important to ensure a player never breaks down in enemy territory.RELATED: Rumor: Fortnite's Next Crossover Could Be With UnchartedThis leaked vehicle is apparently codenamed "TreadVehicle" and appears to be a drivable driller. If it looks familiar, it’s because of the Mole Team drill sites that have appeared all over the current map. Drillers are featured near giant holes on the sites, but the ones right now are stationary. Judging from the treads on the side of this leaked image, this one will be drivable. Whether this means that the drill itself can be activated is unknown, but drilling into the ground would definitely be welcome during some of the many tornados and lightning storms that now feature in matches.

At the end of Fortnite's Chapter 2 the entire island flipped, which was assumed to be the end of the shadowy IO (Imagined Order). But their drill sites have been found all over the map, and there have been season quests that require players to find computer terminals at each Mole Team site, suggesting that they're trying to get back on top. IO Teams can be found defending these areas, allowing for completion of yet another quest, a good way to earn lots of XP.

The addition of these new driller tanks could mean that the IO isn’t as decimated as people had once assumed, and it looks as if it will be a big part of Fortnite’s current storyline. Whatever the case, players know that Epic never stops adding new content. Even without the concerts, massive events, and new locations, there is a non-stop supply of fun new crossovers, with everything from Avatar to Destiny rumored to be in the works for this next season.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
