Fortnite crossovers have shown no sign of stopping anytime soon, and the next character set to come to the game is none other than the Emerald Archer himself. Fortnite players will be getting their hands on Green Arrow come January, though for a few lucky fans, the character was briefly available ahead of his launch.

The skin was intended to be an exclusive unlock for members of the Fortnite Crew subscription service that was revealed last month. Alongside 1,000 V-bucks and battle pass access, players who spend the monthly $12 on the pass are guaranteed an exclusive bundle every four weeks. However, some members of the Fortnite Crew were able to use the skin early, with players even streaming and showing the outfit in action.

Twitter user @YouTubeCDNR posted a clip of a player in the Green Arrow skin dancing and fighting in Fortnite like any other character, and the design looks to be modeled off the version of Oliver Queen from the CW series Arrow. Lacking the character’s fancy facial hair and bright-colored comic book appearance, the darker outfit and closer shave mirror the look donned by Stephen Amell’s version of the DC hero. For fans of the show and character, this special skin will likely be hard to pass up.

Green Arrow joins other DC skins like The Joker, Poison Ivy, Aquaman, and Batman. While Fortnite has not yet seen a proper DC event in the game like there was with Season 4’s Marvel crossover, there is certainly potential for one to take place. While players may want to use Green Arrow now, they will likely have to wait until the intended date of January. With the bug being so widespread, Epic Games has temporarily disabled new sign-ups for the Fortnite Crew program.

When the character is officially added to the game, he will be bringing some special back bling along with him. As posted by Twitter user @arusaurZ_YT, Green Arrow will be able to put a quiver on his back just like The Walking Dead’s Daryl. The two bow-wielders may use different variations of the weapon, but their back bling certainly looks similar within Fortnite. Green Arrow’s bundle will also come with a new melee weapon, as the character’s Harvesting Tool is none other than the iconic boxing glove arrow from the comics.

While Green Arrow’s bow is not yet usable in Fortnite, there is no telling what the future holds. Come January, the crossover could be complete with a special Fortnite weapon like The Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle, though fans of Arrow will likely be content with the skin, quiver, and boxing glove arrow.

Fortnite is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
