Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 started with a surprisingly calm opening. The map changed between seasons, but it took weeks before the new Vibin' questline gave the battle royale a direction for future map progression. Now the Zero Point is back to its old tricks and the Reality Tree is blooming, with roots and shoots spreading with the help of Fortnite's player base. As for what comes next, leakers may have discovered the next Fortnite map location to receive a transformation.

Leakers have discovered the next location that Epic Games will change, assumedly planned for the next update for Fortnite. The location that will be changing is the temple found between Rocky Reels and the Joneses points of interest. Fortnite players will recognize it as a relatively safe drop spot with a good number of chest spawns. It's not particularly notable, however, and seems like a perfect location for a dramatic change.

According to leakers, this new temple location is referred to as "The Tower" in Fortnite's files. Alternatively, the location could be referred to as "Temple Bloom," in line with changes to other locations made during Season 3. Since a visual of the new location hasn't been uncovered yet, Fortnite players will just have to imagine what the new map change will look like based on these naming references. Imagine a flowering temple that perhaps takes on the shape of a tower.

For context, the Reality Tree has been spreading its roots throughout the Fortnite map this season. These roots have burst out of the ground to form new Reality Tree blooms. These locations then transform match-to-match, their realities changed. Themes have included future or pirate settings, among others. The idea is that every time players drop into a match, the map will offer something unique and unexpected, while also conveying that everything's going crazy and a potential disaster is growing.

The temple isn't the only location that will be changing on Fortnite's map soon, either. The temple isn't currently a POI, for example, so its changes may be more mundane. Bigger changes are coming to Sleepy Sound and Condo Canyon, two relatively normal locations that could absolutely be spiced up to make them more enjoyable drop locations.

This Fortnite season is expected to be longer than most, so Epic Games appears to be taking its time with significant changes to the map. The changes it's done have continued to make the current map more exciting in different ways, while still moving Fortnite's story forward, too. Expect the Reality Tree to continue growing in the weeks and months ahead.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
