According to a new leak, Fortnite is preparing for another collaboration with Capcom to bring Resident Evil skins to the battle royale. With the Resident Evil 4 remake launching in late March, the opportunity is ripe to revisit the classic survival horror franchise. Past Capcom collaborations for Fortnite have also proven to be very successful, with multiple Street Fighter skins and even a previous Resident Evil partnership to show for it. The next Fortnite/Resident Evil collaboration should be worth watching out for.As noted, this won't be the first Resident Evil collaboration to come to Fortnite. All the way back in October 2021, Capcom introduced two Resident Evil skins to Fortnite. The two skins included both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, each with alternate styles from different games. The skins' release oddly didn't coincide with the launch of any game specifically. Resident Evil Village had launched earlier that year. Still, Resident Evil fans were very appreciative.RELATED: Augments Will Remain in Fortnite Next SeasonAs popular as both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are, they aren't the only popular characters from the Resident Evil franchise. The latest leaks for Fortnite reveal that Capcom will be bringing both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to the battle royale next. While the outfits for each character haven't been confirmed yet, fans should expect at least two different styles for each character. A release date wasn't shared, but the leaks indicated the skins would arrive in Chapter 4 Season 2, which starts in early March.

To be clear, the collaboration isn't a direct Resident Evil 4 tie-in. Like with the first Resident Evil and Fortnite partnership, it's more of a generic collaboration. With that said, since Resident Evil 4 seems to be launching around the same time, it's very likely intended to be a cross-promotional endeavor. A Leon Kennedy Resident Evil 4 style is something most fans will expect, at the minimum.

While the picks for this round of Resident Evil 4 Fortnite skins may be controversial with some, few would argue that Leon and Claire weren't the right choices. Leon Kennedy has long been one of if not the most popular Resident Evil characters in the franchise. And Claire is certainly among the most popular women in Resident Evil next to Jill, though Lady Dimitrescu may be more popular now.

There are still plenty of other options for Capcom to consider offering as Fortnite skins in the future, too. A Wesker skin seems inevitable, perhaps paired with Lady Dimitrescu. Ada Wong, HUNK, Rebecca Chambers, and Ethan Winters are all strong choices, too. For now, Resident Evil fans can look forward to Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield arriving in Fortnite before long.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
