Fortnite’s Chapter 3, Season 2, has brought some significant changes to the game. There are plenty of new gameplay changes for players to get accustomed to and new items and locations. Though there are some tutorial quests for this new chapter in Fortnite, there is one thing players may not immediately grasp: how to take advantage of the Siege Cannons.

As Fortnite's Chapter 3, Season 2 trailer mentions, this new phase of the game focuses on a resistance movement clearly visible across the map. One of the environmental features that helps tell this story is the massive array of Siege Cannons found on the ships and across the map. Those players looking to learn how to launch themselves from these Siege Cannons can look to this guide for help.

Where to Find Siege Cannons in Fortnite

Once players adjust to the lack of building brought on by this new chapter of Fortnite, they can head towards one of the IO Airships that hover over different parts of the map to find a Siege Cannon.

There are five of these ships hovering over the world of Fortnite, and the best way to get on one of them is to do so after jumping off the Battle Bus.

Depending on the route the Battle Bus in a game of Fortnite takes, this may be a bit of a challenge. These ships, however, are the best locations to find this new feature. The Siege Cannons are easy to spot and are on the platforms that trace the outside of these ships.

Even if players miss these IO Airships, however, cannons can be found at different points on the ground.

How to Launch Yourself from a Siege Cannon

Once players have located these new sights in Fortnite, they just have to interact with them in order to be prompted with instructions. On an Xbox controller, this massive weapon's controls revolve around the Right and Left Triggers.

Pulling just the Right Trigger fires off an explosive round. Meanwhile, players just have to pull the Left Trigger to climb right into the Siege Cannon. Holding Left Trigger keeps the player inside, and then pulling the Right Trigger launches the player spinning out of the cannon.

From here players will eventually enter a similar falling state as when they jump out of the Battle Bus. While in the air, players can decide when to open their parachute and land safely.

While this new feature isn't part of Fortnite's latest chapter's boot camp, it remains especially useful for getting across large portions of the map rapidly.
