Earlier today, players gathered in Fortnite for The Device in-game event, which featured the character Jonesy in one of the first scripted cutscenes for the game. At the time, fans were a bit curious as to who voiced him, with some suggesting that actor Troy Baker was behind the role, and now, thanks to some confirmation from Epic Games, fans now know that the famous voice actor was indeed featured.

Epic Games confirmed the Fortnite casting to journalist Ben Walker, who quickly posted the news to his Twitter account after the event was over.

For those that don't know, Jonesy is one of the more iconic characters in Fortnite, having been a part of the game since pretty much day 1. Implementing him into the game's story after all this time is sure to make longtime fans of the battle royale excited, especially since players finally heard his voice. On top of that, there's really no better character to have featured in the game's first-ever in-game, scripted cutscene.

While netting Troy Baker is a big deal for Epic Games, his inclusion should come as really no surprise. He's one of the biggest voice actors in the world right now. That being said, once the cutscene started playing, it really wasn't that hard to figure out. Most people accurately guessed who was voicing the blonde-haired character.

Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and mobile devices.
