For many fans of Fortnite, getting paid to play Epic's battle royale sensation would certainly be a dream come true. While Fortnite streaming and competitive play have both provided opportunities for some players to monetize their in game eliminations, these are not avenues that everyone is in a position to pursue. That said, a new job listing may be just the thing that players that wish to turn their love of Fortnite into cold hard cash are looking for.

Specifically, online company HighSpeedInternet.com is now offering one lucky player $1,000, a new modem, and a year of free, high-speed internet for spending 50 hours playing Fortnite on a new internet connection. The job listing indicates that the compensation, including goods, is nearly $3,000, and the selected player can accumulate the requisite 50 hours in Fortnite at their discretion, so long as they do so between June 7 and July 31, 2019.

That said, playing the game is not all that there is to this Fortnite job, as the hire will need to report "how high-speed internet boosted [their] play" to HighSpeedInternet.com, comparing the gaming experience on their old internet connection to the experience on their new connection. Additionally, the selected Fortnite player will be required to stream their 50 hours of gameplay on Twitch, and will thus need to submit their Twitch handle to the ISP comparing company offering the position.

What may come as the most exciting aspect of this new job listing for Fortnite is that it is explicitly stated that applicants need not be professional gamers. However, those that are interested in the position do need to meet a number of criteria, including being 18 years or older, being authorized to work in the United States, and having their own console or PC that can play Fortnite already.

Players that want to get paid to play Fortnite will need to act fast on this opportunity, as applications must be submitted, through the HighSpeedInternet.com job listing, by May 31. After submitting, it seems that these interested players will not have to wait long to hear back on this Fortnite summer job, as it is indicated that the "winner" will be selected on June 7. From there, the lucky player can simply get ready for their new job by participating in Fortnite Season 9.

Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
