After an extended Season 1, Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 is finally here, and with it Epic Games has brought in some new challenges and changes to the gameplay. Along with the addition of many vaulted weapons hidden in secret locations throughout the game, some new items will be coming to the battle royale.

As expected, data miners have searched through Fortnite's files hoping to find some interesting information on what fans can expect from this new season, and they succeeded. They found three new items that will be coming soon in Season 2: a Disguise Kit, Security Plans, and a Proximity Mine.

Fortnite data miner Hypex discovered that Epic has already tested v12.10 and v12.20 shortly after the release of Season 2, meaning that the first couple of updates should be coming sooner than fans expected. Whether or not one of these updates will remove SBMM, as some players are asking for, remains to be seen. While finding that, Hypex and other data miners discovered the three new items in the game files. Along with the already tested updates, it's very likely these new items will be coming to Fortnite within the next couple of weeks. In fact, one of these items could be coming as early as Thursday.

Before, the only disguise available in Fortnite was the legendary bush. This wasn't exactly an ideal disguise, as some skins would have the player's head or backpack sticking out, instantly blowing a camper's cover. The Disguise Kit (which appears to be the Season 2 version of the Harpoon Gun) changes all that and seems to bring to mind the Spy's disguise kit from Team Fortress 2. Like in that game, the Disguise Kit makes players look like enemy faction members without having to find a phone booth, making it useful for hiding from henchmen.

Fortnite Season 2 seems to be bringing more explosives back to the game, and the Proximity Mine is the latest addition. The Proximity Mine is exactly what it sounds like: an explosive weapon that can be placed anywhere and will explode when an enemy gets too close to it. The damage amount for this weapon has not been officially announced yet.

There is no clear indication as to what the Security Plans are supposed to be. The best guess is that instead of having to find a henchman and shake them down for floor/area plans, players could just find this item to reveal security plans, secret chest and enemy locations. This is just a guess though, so fans will want to wait until more information is revealed on this item.

Fortnite is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
