Today kicks off the latest season for the popular battle royale that is Fortnite. Epic Games launched Chapter 2 Season 6 this morning with an epic cinematic trailer featuring Jonesy, Kratos, Xenomorphs, and other characters, as well as a short but engaging solo experience that every player must play through before starting the new season.

And just like other seasons, each week will have different challenges for players to complete for some extra XP. For players who are having trouble completing the "investigate the anomaly near Catty Corner" challenge can use this guide to find out where to go.

To start off, players should head to Catty Corner, which is the area in the southeastern corner of the new season 6 Fortnite map. It's directly south of Retail Row and east of Misty Meadows. Players should head to a street that leads to a tunnel that's within a mountain. Right in front of this door will be a glowing blue butterfly.

The butterfly will start to move and Fortnite players should follow it into a green door that's nearby. There's a locked vault in the room and to open it up, players need to pick up the red explosive barrel nearby the door and toss it in front of the vault. And now, by using one of Fortnite's many weapons, players should step a few feet away and then shoot the barrel to cause it to explode and thus, opening up the safe.

If players head inside by interacting with the door, the quest will now be marked as complete, earning players their reward. If players don't have any guns, they should be able to find some by looking inside nearby buildings in Catty Corner. Other players might also be trying to complete this same challenge during a match, so it's imperative that players are well-prepared for a possible showdown.

Once this challenge has been completed, fans can work towards some other quests for this week, such as how to find the golden artifacts near The Spire, which is now right in the middle of the current Fortnite map for Chapter 2 Season 6.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is themed around survival, so the changes that have been made to the game involve features such as hunting and crafting. There are even some wild animals on the map now that can be taken down for some resources.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
