There are a number of anomalies that need investigating in Fortnite Season 6, and one of them is hidden away in Weeping Woods. While this may not be the most difficult anomaly to locate, the way that is accessed may prove to be slightly confusing. It is with that in mind that this guide is being written, and players that read on should have no trouble completing Fortnite's "investigate an anomaly detected in Weeping Woods" challenge.

The first step to tackling this task is to head to Weeping Woods, a named location that is situated slightly southwest of the center of Fortnite's map. Upon arrival at this location, fans should make their way to the tower that is at the position indicated on the map below. Just north of that tower, players will see a glowing butterfly that is hovering slightly above the ground, and they should come into contact with the strange insect to set it in motion.

Players should now follow behind the butterfly as it leads them up the nearby staircase and to the top of the aforementioned tower. From there, the insect will fly high into the air and then transform, with a dramatic explosion of light, into a white crystal. As most Fortnite fans will already know at this point, that crystal is the anomaly that is referenced by the challenge description, and all that is left to do is to build a pathway to the object and then interact with it.

Indeed, players should receive immediate indication that they have completed the challenge as soon as they have performed that action, and they will earn a cosmetic reward for their trouble. Specifically, that reward is the Agent Jones (Jump 88) skin style, which gives the character a brown top with a hood. Notably, this should be the last Agent Jones style to unlock on Fortnite's Season 6 Battle Pass, though there are more cosmetics to obtain at even higher tiers.

Those cosmetics include several skins modeled after Teen Titans' Raven, and players that make it all the way to Level 100 will even unlock Lara Croft's classic skin. Reaching those rewards is certainly not an insignificant endeavor, though, and fans that are interested in obtaining them should make sure to take every possible opportunity for earning XP. This includes completing all of the challenges in Fortnite Season 6, and indeed there are quite a few XP-awarding tasks available right now.

Fortnite is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
