To say that Thanos' impact on the big screen was titanic would be an understatement, as the incredibly popular super villain even made an appearance in Fortnite. For those players that relished in the power of wielding the Infinity Gauntlet against their foes within the game, there's a surprising method that will allow players to relive that glory once again in 2021. Getting this to work does take a few steps, and the Infinity Gauntlet is only available in creative mode (no pushing around players in actual matches), but it's still pretty fun nonetheless.

Back in 2018 when Avengers: Infinity War released, Fortnite capitalized on its insane popularity by doing a collaboration. Players in the game were able to find the legendary Infinity Gauntlet, and the lucky player that put it on could then wield the power of all the Infinity Stones as Thanos. Other players would have to work together to take this titan down and try to grab the glove for themselves.

In order to use the Infinity Gauntlet, players need to follow these steps and enter the creative mode map that still has this feature. Once players spawn in, they probably won't start as Thanos. The trick is to find a player that already is Thanos and wait for them to log off. At this point they will drop the glove and it can be picked up.

  • Navigate to the Settings menu
  • Change to the Europe server/region
  • Enter creative mode in the lobby and press play
  • Choose discover and find the roleplay list
  • Find and select the PWR Tiny Town map
  • Start the game

This is by no means a foolproof strategy, as players will still have to find a way to get the glove from whoever is Thanos at the time. Even so, it does give players the chance to re-experience the thrill of both being and fighting against Thanos to an extent, a moment that many consider one of the highlights of Fortnite's long history of collaborations. For players that don't want to go through the hassle of searching for PWR Tiny Town, they can instead enter the island code of 9683-4582-8184.

It should be said that this area is non-lethal, meaning players can't harm each other. Because of this, transforming into Thanos here is really more for looks, but players will still be able to use the character's special powers. There have been some reports that this exploit has already been patched, but others claim that is still works. The best thing for players to do is simply try and see for themselves.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
