Earlier this week, Epic Games shook up the Fortnite battle royale experience by adding the Infinity Blade to the world map. The sword is extremely powerful, able to kill enemy players with just one or two swings, and grants the user with 200 shields and 200 health that regenerate over time. Considering this, it's no surprise that the Infinity Blade has become one of the most sought-after items in Fortnite, but getting it is no easy task.

At the time of this writing, the Infinity Blade spawns at the exact same spot on the map every time, and that is in the center of Polar Peak. Upon landing, players have to run up to the sword and hold in the reload button to start pulling it from the stone. It takes a little while, but as soon as players are wielding the blade, they will enjoy its benefits immediately.

Here is exactly where to find the Infinity Blade sword on the Fortnite map:

There are some strategies to make getting the Infinity Blade a little easier. One thing players may want to consider is landing away from the sword, grabbing some guns, and then killing anyone who attempts to wield it. After all of the nearby enemies are dead, players should be able to safely collect the sword and move on to another area of the map.

Alternatively, some players have found success building around the Infinity Blade to try to block others from getting to it or them while they're pulling it from the stone. This will require players to collect some materials first, so they'll run the risk of someone else getting the sword first, but it could be worth it in the long run.

Once Fortnite players have their hands on the sword, they may be confused about how it actually works. The right trigger swings it, as expected, but the left trigger is reserved for a devastating leaping attack. This attack can actually be used to greatly increase one's mobility as well if players look up to the sky while using it.

With that, Fortnite players should find getting and using the sword in the game a little easier. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if Epic addresses any complaints about exactly how overpowered the sword is.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
