Fortnite continues to roll out unique and challenging quests for players looking to level up their Season 6 Battle Pass. Of the several new Fortnite challenges presented this week, one of the unusual ones requires players to don a prop disguise, and figure out a way to get within 20m of another player for at least three seconds.

Epic Games' popular free-to-play battle royale is about at the halfway point through its Season 6. The current season, dubbed "Primal," has seen a number of changes to the game's meta, including the addition of fauna for the first time ever, such as chickens, wolves, boars, and even dinosaurs. Season 6 has also introduced a primal weapon crafting system, new vehicle modification items, and other changes that remain somewhat divisive among fans.

In order to complete this quest quickly, players will first need to know where they can get a prop disguise. Attainable only through a select few of Fortnite's various NPCs, players will need to track down one of the pertinent people to get the first part of the quest completed. Luckily, there are five different NPCs for players to choose from. Here are their locations:

  • Crustina - at the counter of Pizza Pit, which is just north of Colossal Crops
  • Raz - Inside the tall building in the center of Colossal Crops
  • Snow Sniper - the small mountain directly east of Retail Row
  • Jekyll - located inside the westernmost building of Steamy Stacks
  • Bushranger - found at the campsite west of Pleasant Park

The prop disguises cost only 75 Gold Bars, but donning the prop disguise is where the easy part of the quest ends. Players must then stay inside of 20 meters of another player. Arguably one of the easiest ways to achieve this is to simply round a corner or hide behind something near the NPC the disguise was purchased from and wait, as many other players will be seeking out the same characters for the same reason. One YouTuber makes the case for trying to complete the quest in Solos specifically with Snow Sniper near Retail Row. The location is usually flooded with players on any given match, and should be even more populated due to it possessing several safe locations, another of this week's challenges.

It should be noted that in order to complete the quest, players will have to repeat the process three times in total. The prop disguise vendors aren't the only Fortnite NPCs to suddenly hold greater significance this week, as Tomb Raider's Lara Croft is now in possession of the new Exotic Grappler Bow. The new Bow enables the wielder to grapple onto virtually any surface. The grappling action also prevents players from taking fall damage, making it an invaluable tool, especially among more competitive players.

This quest in particular can be a bit difficult, but by getting to one of the previously mentioned NPCs early and hiding nearby, it should be feasible. However, not all Fortnite players are interested in Battle Pass quests, but there's still plenty else to do in the game, including the Team Up! Aloy and Lara LTM, which finally launches today.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
