Fortnite has revealed its latest crossover skin, which this time comes in the form of DC Comics superhero/antihero Black Adam. When it comes to franchise crossovers in video games, not a single title does it better than Fortnite. The title seems capable of pulling characters from just about any IP into the fold, particularly those from comic books.

The collaboration likely comes as part of the marketing strategy for the upcoming DCEU film, Black Adam. Stuck in various phases of development over the past 15 years or so, the superhero flick finally releases on October 21. Star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has shown off a clip of Black Adam in Fortnite, showing the character dropping onto the island in typical superhero fashion.

How to Get Black Adam Skin

The introductory trailer reveals not only Black Adam's incredibly accurate character model but the antihero's various accessories as well. His back bling is a series of three interconnected pyramids, which appear to have some sort of reactivity, and an electrified mace for a harvesting tool, though not shown in the clip. The video also shows what could be multiple Emotes, with Black Adam rising off the ground with electricity in addition to sitting atop a throne. Players can get the Black Adam skin in Fortnite starting Thursday, October 20 at 5 PM PT by purchasing it through the item shop.

The trailer also shows The Rock's Black Adam with and without a hooded cape, meaning there will likely be some alt styles available. The announcement of Black Adam actually marks the second Fortnite superhero crossover skin reveal in less than a week.

Fortnite also revealed the addition of X-23, essentially the replacement for Wolverine in the comics, and featured in the critically acclaimed film Logan. X-23 has a more classic comic book appearance, however, while Black Adam retains The Rock's likeness.

Black Adam being included in Fortnite also marks the second character The Rock has in the game. His first character is The Foundation, one of the mysterious members of The Seven who are integral to Fortnite's ongoing storyline. The character was last seen during the Chapter 3 Season 2 finale event, "COLLISION," which saw him and Jones jump into the Zero Point to go after Geno.

While players won't be able to get their hands on the Black Adam skin until next week, Fortnite just rolled out its latest hotfix, which adds plenty to keep players busy in the interim, including the new Explosive Goo Gun, Throwable Launchpads, and unvaulted Shield Bubbles.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
