Fortnite is busy undergoing some major changes with Season 3 finally coming to an end and Season 4 starting today, May 1st. Earlier a cinematic trailer for Season 4 as well as some hero and villain skins leaked, but now that Fortnite Season 4 is here, players can see all that is on offer including a new anti-gravity consumable.

Only an hour ago, a Twitch player has discovered a consumable in the game called Hop Rocks that has an anti-gravity effect on players. Upon consumption of the consumable, the player's avatar glows purple and you are able to jump much higher while floating in the air for a while. These new Hop Rocks are the result of the aftermath that the comet, and are found most prominently in the new craterous areas. If players visit the crater, they will find glowing rocks all around, consume the rocks, and "lift off with low gravity."

The effects of the Hop Rocks seem to last for at least 30 seconds, giving players enough time for some acrobatic battles as they vie for loot. According to comments by other players though, the effects can last quite long, which indicates that it may be much more than 30 seconds. Of course, this consumable is causing a lot of excitement among Fortnite players, as it is the first of its kind found in the game so far. It may be Epic Games' consolation for the lack of jet packs, despite a tease a few months back.

This consumable is only one of the multitude of new in-game items that players can enjoy with the release of Season 4. The Season 4 Patch Notes are now available, and it is evident that Epic Games is doing as much as it can to keep the game interesting for fans. After the catastrophic end to Season 3 of Fortnite, we look forward to seeing what mayhem Season 4 of the game will bring.

Fortnite is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
