While Fortnite players can get tons of XP with regular, daily playing and Supercharged XP, there's another way to grab some XP to speed up the slow grind to level 100: XP Drops. These drops are functionally the same as the Battle Stars from Chapter 1. This event's Drop is hidden in the map somewhere, but it won't appear until some of the Chaos Rising's challenges have been completed.

Hints in the Loading Screen

Fortnite has a long history of hiding hints for all sorts of loot and XP Drops in the loading screens in Chapter 1, and the same thing holds true of Chapter 2. In the loading screen from the event, players can find hints for the pickaxe and the hidden back bling hidden somewhere on the map, as well as the XP Drop. The hint is on the third screen down and three over; it's a picture of a cube. And lucky for players, there's a giant cube on the map, right in Steamy Stacks.

XP Drop Location

Keep in mind that the XP Drop will not appear on the map until all the requisite Chaos Rising challenges have been completed. Players will have plenty of time to finish those challenges and then grab the extra XP from the drop while waiting for the Star WarsThe Rise Of Skywalker clip that will be screened by Fortnite later this week.

Head for Steamy Stacks in the upper right of the map (it's a little further north than the green bridge; players can stop by after completing the Dancing Challenge). Find the Steam Stacks building; the cube is located in the southwestern-most part of the building. Check out the map below for the exact location of the cube where the XP Drop can be found:

Once players are at Steamy Stacks, if the needed challenges have been completed, then the green XP should be just under the cube. It will look like this:

If the XP Drop isn't there, players will have to go back to the challenges and see which are still incomplete. The Fortnite Chaos Rising Challenges aren't difficult to complete, but some of them can be time consuming.

Fortnite is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, Xbox One, iOS, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh.
