Fortnite just finished off its major Season 4 ending event with Galactus, which put a cap on much of the Marvel content that Season 4 was filled with. Now, Fortnite’s Season 5 content has finally kicked off, and there are tons of new things for players to check out around the Season 5 map.

Alongside some pretty big structural changes, there are also a few themed Easter Eggs that fans have started to uncover now that Fortnite servers are back up. Recently, fans are getting a kick out of a Star Wars Easter egg in Fortnite where Peely has been encased in carbonite, much like Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back.

As is usual for Fortnite’s end-of-season events, there have been a number of new and returning changes to Fortnite’s Season 5 map. The aftermath of Fortnite Season 4’s Galactus Event left a huge crater in the middle of the map called the Zero Point. This area blends realities, which gives context to a lot of the new and returning additions to the Season 5 map. Additionally, given Season 5’s theme centering around bounty hunters and thieves, there are a handful of Easter Eggs referencing iconic pop culture figures who fit the bill.

One of those Easter Eggs is a funny reference to the infamous scene in Star Wars Episode 5, where Han Solo is revealed to have been frozen in carbonite after his capture. However, in Fortnite’s Season 5 map Easter egg, it’s Peely that’s been frozen in a block of carbonite instead of the famous smuggler. The Easter egg can be found in one of the rooms inside the Hunter’s Haven house that’s been added to the Season 5 map. The Peely carbonite statue is simply a destructible object in the game’s world, so there’s no special interaction that comes from finding him at Hunter’s Haven.

Though, this Easter Egg isn’t the only Star Wars-related bit of content added to Fortnite starting in Season 5. The Season 5 Battle Pass gameplay trailer showed off both Mandalorian and Baby Yoda cosmetics coming to the game sometime over the course of the season. It’s an interesting coincidence, to say the least, though given that Disney owns Star Wars and Marvel it makes sense. Especially considering how Fortnite’s Season 4 content essentially revolved around Marvel properties, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if more and more Star Wars content made its way into the game.

For now, though, players are still just busy getting acquainted with most of Season 5’s new content. It seems that Fortnite’s Season 5 bars and bounties might shake up the competitive metagame a lot, so hardcore players should get a grasp on how those new systems work. As Season 5 progresses, players will surely get more and more familiar with a lot of the new content, including various Easter eggs that Epic Games has hidden around the brand new map.

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
